CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – Police arrested a woman driving a Walmart scooter on a Tennessee highway on Friday morning, according to WKRN.
Sally Selby caught the attention of the police around 5 a.m. while driving the motorized shopping cart in the slow lane of Highway 127.
Selby allegedly told the officers he was going to a restaurant in Waffle House to buy a cup of coffee.
According to WTVF, the 45-year-old initially told officers that she built the scooter, but was later arrested for theft after Walmart employees confirmed that she belonged to the store.
Walmart surveillance video showed Selby using the shopping scooter inside the store before driving him to the parking lot, police said.
It was not clear on Tuesday whether Selby could face additional charges or not.
