At night, the royal family comes together again to A Christmas buffet dinner with 15 to 20 different delights prepared by the chef of Queen Elizabeth. A toast is part of the meal, which ranges from roast meat to turkey and ham. In recent years, William and Kate have sometimes chosen to leave Christmas dinner to enjoy Christmas Eve with Kate's parents, Carole and Mike Middleton, her sister, Pippa Middleton, her brother-in-law, James Matthews, and her brother, James Middleton, with whom she is very close.
The Sunday Times of London reported that the Queen will break the royal convention and invite Markle to the three-day celebration in Sandringham.

Neither Kate nor Mike Tindall, who married Zara Phillips, the queen's granddaughter and the daughter of Princess Anne, were invited when they were engaged but had not yet married at Christmas. Kate spent Christmas with her family in Bucklebury, Berkshire, before marrying William.
However, if Queen Elizabeth adheres to the past royal protocol, Markle will not be able to attend. The monarch is religious and can decide that badistance in the service of the church is reserved only for his grandchildren and their spouses, as he has done in the past.
There could be a compromise where Markle attends the lunch and dinner celebrations in Sandringham, but not in the church. Harry's relatives have welcomed Markle and are eager to make her feel part of the family.
Markle called Queen Elizabeth "an incredible woman" in her first joint interview with Harry after her engagement announcement last month.
"It's amazing, I think, to be able to get to know her through her lens, not only with the honor and respect she has for her as a monarch, but because of the love she feels for her as her grandmother," said Markle. "All those layers have been so important to me that when I met her, I had such a deep understanding, and of course an incredible respect, for being able to spend that time with her."

After Christmas, Markle and Harry are expected to take a vacation. Kensington Palace has confirmed that Markle will take time off before the wedding to see friends and family in the US. UU
The couple is beginning to make plans for their wedding in May 2018 in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, and planning is expected to improve in the New Year.
Kensington Palace also announced that Markle will join the Royal Foundation of The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry once he marries Harry.
