“Senator McConnell is right, and we thank him for his leadership. It is important that all Americans do their part and get vaccinated when it is their turn,” the White House wrote.

A poll by The Kaiser Family Foundation found that while enthusiasm for vaccines has continued to rise in several different groups, 30 percent of Republicans in March said they would “definitely” not get vaccinated, indicating little change from to the previous month in February.
Echoing what several leading health experts have said, McConnell claimed that herd immunity must be achieved to end the pandemic, and urged people to be ordered the vaccine to reach the 75 percent threshold that needed.
