Meteor shower is one of the brightest in the lunar calendar, so you will not have to search too hard to find it.

However, the best time of this year will be on the night of December 13 and in the early hours of December 14.

You do not see much in t in the early afternoon, but things start to get more exciting after 10 p.m. m., and the best time is usually between 2.00 and 3.00 a.m. wherever you are.

Do I have to be somewhere special?

The meteor shower favors those of us in the northern hemisphere, but it can also be seen in the southern hemisphere.

How do I make sure to see them?

First of all, I look up to the sky to see if it's a clear night.

If it's cloudy, you will not see much.

Whenever it's clear, you should wrap up and go outside – use sleeping bags and bottles of hot water if necessary – and spend at least 30 minutes outside getting used to the dark.

It is preferable to go to a place with as little light pollution as possible, but that is quite complicated if you live in a city.

Do not worry, you'll still see something if you do not mind staying awake until very late.

Once you have settled in one place, look up and try and take as much of the sky as possible.

You do not need any binocular or telescope to see the showers, but you will limit your view too.

Just look at the sky and they should start to appear.

Do not lose heart if you do not see anything for a while: meteors tend to enter streams interspersed with periods of calm.
