One of the highlights of last year’s Apple Arcade launch was Where the cards fall, A slice-of-life puzzle game where you will build card houses to guide your character through an artistic geometric landscape. It was an Apple Arcade exclusive at the time, and certainly one of the more attractive reasons to subscribe to the service. Now, however, it will finally arrive early next year for the Nintendo Switch, Steam and Epic Games stores.

Where the cards fall Considered a mobile game, but its story and mechanics go much deeper than the genre’s specialty. In our hands last year, our very own Jessica Condit stated that the game is rich and highly interactive, as if you’re building a living world without discrete levels or loading screens. Card making can be simple, but over time riddles become more difficult to detect. The upside is that there is no death in this game, so you get to focus on the puzzle and the story without worrying about dying.
