Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are good smartphones. Both are a big step forward from their predecessors, but, as always, there is room for improvement.
Fortunately, those who want more of the phones with Google pixels do not have to wait long. We expect Google to launch Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in October 2019. This is where we want Google to improve with its next pair of flagship phones.

At least 6GB of RAM and a brighter screen.
Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL offer many important improvements over Pixel 2 and 2 XL. The most obvious is the screen, particularly in the quality of the OLED panel used in the Pixel 3 XL. It can offer sharper and more accurate colors in general, but both the Pixel 3 and 3 XL screens are dim. They offer only around 400 nits of brightness, which makes it difficult for them to see themselves outdoors when the sun rises. That means that you will often find your 3 pixel in maximum brightness on the outside, which, if you probably know, is not good for the battery life (more on that later). We would love to see the Pixel 4 and 4 XL screens.

Another problem that has affected the Pixel 3 line since its launch are performance issues. We have experienced mixed results with our own units, but a ton of Pixel 3 users have complained about the slow and slow phones as the months pbad.
First, it was the aggressive one. memory management problem. Google solved those problems a few weeks after they came to light, but we have to ask: Would this be a problem in the first place if the Pixel 3 and 3 XL had at least 6GB of RAM like other phones? We would say no. If Google wants to avoid these problems with the Pixel 4 and 4 XL, they need at least 6GB or RAM.
A battery that lasts a whole day.
I won a lot about this because, well, I've already talked a lot. Google Pixel 3 lasts a whole day on a single charge. Since its launch in October, my has had problems delivering four hours of screen time on a given day. It is usually around 2.5-3 hours.
I'm tired of giving up the life of the battery for a reasonable-sized phone
At this moment, my Google Pixel 3 is sitting at my desk in its natural habitat: at the Pixel Stand. Live there now, not because I want to, but because I can not …
This is not so much a problem with the Pixel 3 XL; Many of my colleagues have little or no problem with the phone's battery life.
With higher-level phones powered by higher-level processors, it's easy to blame the energy-hungry SoC as one of the main culprits for poor battery life. The thing is, many other phones are powered by the Platform Snapdragon 845: OnePlus 6T, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, LG V40 and G7, and many others, many of which have a stellar battery life.
Some original equipment manufacturers make their own optimizations to the software so that the battery lasts longer, while others simply try to use as much battery as they can. In any case, it is clear that Google has been working to ensure that the Pixel 4 does not have the same battery problems as the Pixel 3.
A more versatile camera.
Phones with Google Pixels have been announced as the best cameras for smartphones in the world, but the conversation has changed this year. Google phones could be the best point-and-shoot cameras in terms of quality and accuracy, but there are more flexible cameras.
The Huawei P30 Pro has a standard lens, a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, as well as a flight time sensor, and that's right on the back of the phone. This allows one of the most versatile camera experiences you can get on a smartphone.
The Galaxy S10 line also offers a flexible shooting experience, even if the quality of the photos is not a P30 level.
Google can do more than other companies with a single-lens camera, but that can only make Google do it. Zoom without lenses and wide-angle shots are as simple as using a single lens.
If you want to continue competing for the photographic crown in 2019, you should consider adding some more sensors.
A design worthy of 2019.
The Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are ugly, they are not really up to the standards set by other phones at this price.
We've talked about sales and notches, but it's worth mentioning again. The notches on the screen of smart phones are very important, but those that were on the market in 2019 have been reduced, have disappeared completely or have been replaced by a drilling chamber. The Pixel 3 and 3 XL leave a lot to be desired in comparison.
The notch in the Pixel 3 XL is the most obvious change that Google needs to make with the Pixel 4 line. Even people who do not care seem to be fun in the 3 XL category. It is too big and too uncomfortable.

The lines of Pixel 3 are another thing that excites people. Personally, I do not care about the screen: they make it easier to hold the phone and, in this case, house front speakers. I think if Google could reduce the bevels and minimize the notch while keeping the front speakers, a lot of people would agree with that.
Facial unlocking comparable to face ID
While we're talking about notches, it's surprising that the Pixel 3 and 3 XL do not have additional sensors to allow secure unlocking of the face. It is possible to implement facial recognition only with front cameras, but the best implementations are made with several sensors, namely a camera sensor and a flight time sensor.
LG G8 ThinQ: LG chooses to merge instead of highlighting
Using the LG G8 ThinQ made me feel like a Jedi or an inept Dr. Strange. LG's flagship phone offers new hand-based gestures to control the phone thanks to its innovative time-of-flight camera. This …
Flight time sensors on the front of a phone allow the device to take a 3D map of your face to help you differentiate between your real face and, for example, a picture of your face. Done correctly, this is a sure way to implement facial recognition. We've seen it on devices like the Apple iPhone X and XS, LG G8, and others.
It's time for phones with pixels to also admit facial recognition of this caliber.
General plane: a headphone jack
The Pixel 3a is proof that Google has the ability to include a headphone jack on their phones. Of course, it could make the engineering process more difficult, but companies must stop us because "they ran out of space for the headphone jack". These ports have been virtually all phones since the beginning of smart phones and removing them is a step backwards.

I do not expect Google to include a headphone jack on the Pixel 4 and 4 XL. Speaking about the Pixel 3a headphone jack, the product manager, Soniya Jobanputra, said: "We really felt that the consumers were really looking at this point and really needed flexibility. [for the headphone jack]. "That suggests that Google thinks that people who buy more expensive phones because they need audio options, or if they need them, but if our readers have time out and over again, that is not the case.
