Hillsborough County, FloridaThe eighth-largest district in the country will announce its decision on 3 August. Its school board previously rejected virtual learning plans for the first nine weeks of school.
Here’s how other big school districts are planning to reopen by Thursday, battling the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Students will need to practice social distance and cover the face. There will be “increased access and regular opportunities” for hand washing and hygiene.
Families can also choose all online instructions.
Some districts selected for fully digital instruction, including Clark County, Nevada, and Gwinnett County, Georgia, have said they will periodically review their decision, assessing the virus spreading in their communities.
At least three of these in Florida, Houston and Gwinnett counties – Palm Beach County – pushed back the planned start date, so that they could better prepare for digital-only instruction.

Los Angeles Integrated – The district overturned its initial decision to offer the hybrid model.
Clark County, Nevada
Broward County, Florida
Houston Independent School District – The district is online until at least 19 October.
Palm Beach County, Florida
Fairfax County, Virginia
Gwinnett County, Georgia – Gwinnett reversed his initial decision to / or offer.
Wake County, North Carolina
Montgomery County, Maryland — Online only For the entire fall semester, at least until January 29, 2021.
