Walmart began to limit the number of customers in stores

Walmart has again begun “measuring” nationwide, the number of customers it is offering inside its stores.

The measurement started from today and will continue till the next notice. Officials said this was necessary due to the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country.

The company first implemented its metering policy in April due to coronavirus.

Under the measurement policy, Walmart will limit the number of customers that can be in one store at a time. The stores will no longer allow more than five customers for every 1,000 square feet, about 20 percent of the store’s capacity at a time.

In a statement, Walmart officials said, “Walmart started limiting capacity in our stores by 20% in early April (or if mandated by a local government) and has since remained that limit. We know from months of metering data in our stores that the majority of our store’s time did not reach our self-imposed 20% metering capacity. By an abundance of caution, we entered and left our stores Has started counting the number of people.
