Great news, Danger! fans: Alex Trebek says he "feels good", and is already thinking of returning to following season.
In a video update published on Wednesday, Danger! The host gave us an update on his health, after last month's revelation that he is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Noting that he is on the last day of filming the 35th season of the popular series of contests syndicated, Trebek said: "despite what I may have heard, I feel good, [and] I continue with my therapy. "He added that the preparations for the 36th season of Danger! I have already started: "I hope to see you again in September with all kinds of good things."
Trebek also took a moment to thank the fans for their "continuous messages of encouragement and support" since their diagnosis. Specifically, he thanked the young people for the many cards they sent him: "They touch me beyond words".
The host of Danger! Since 1984, Trebek has been supported by producers of Sony Pictures Television programs, who said in a statement: "If anyone can overcome this, it is Alex, who has all our support as he faces this challenge head-on."
