At its closest point, the Frost Moon was about 363,300 km away from Earth
The only Supermoon of 2017 lit up the sky on Sunday.
The moon seemed larger and brighter than usual. Like the last full moon of the year, this super moon is known as the Frost Moon. At its closest point, the moon was about 363,300 km away from Earth.
Take a look at these photos taken from all over the world, including from Washington, DC, Cádiz, Spain and Northumberland, England.
Photographers from Kitchener, Ont. , Tokyo, Japan, Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Kashmir, India also glimpsed it.
The next two supermodels will fall on January 1 and January 31, turning the latter into a blue moon.
