Vanessa Bryant has heard about Meek Mill’s new song that references her husband, and she, like many others, is not happy about it.
Vanessa criticized Meek Mill in an Instagram story Monday night, calling her new line about Kobe and the helicopter crash that killed him, his daughter, and seven other people as “extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period.”
“I’m not familiar with any of your music, but I think you can do better than this,” he wrote, in part. “If you’re a fan that’s fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact. “
Meek Mill defends the song
The lyrics to Meek Mill’s new unreleased song, supposedly titled “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe)”, were.
“This bitch I’m screwed on ‘always tells me that she loves, but she never showed me,” the song goes. “Yes, and if I ever miss it, I will go out with my helicopter, it will be another Kobe.”
Lil Baby is in the song as well, and he reportedly references Kobe and Gianna, although he does so in a much, much better way.
“… I have a son so I can call him Kobe / Daughter Gigi,” he says.
Obviously, considering how Kobe, Gianna and the others died, Meek Mill’s lyrics didn’t sit well with many. He, however, as he usually does.
