Vanessa Bryant criticized Meek Mill for her leaked song referencing Kobe Bryant’s tragic helicopter crash.
The leaked song, “Don’t Worry,” features fellow rapper Lil Baby and includes the lyrics: “If I’m ever missing, I’ll go out with my choppa, make it another Kobe.”
Fans have already expressed their anger on the line, and now the widow of the late NBA star has taken to Instagram to call the words “disrespectful.”
“Dear @meekmill, I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period, ”Vanessa, 38, wrote on her Instagram story Monday night. “I’m not familiar with your music, but I think you can do better than this.”
She continued, “If you’re a fan that’s fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact. “
Mill, 33, previously blasted critics who called him on the line in an odd response, tweeting: “Somebody promote a narrative and everyone follows it…. all the antics of the internet can’t stop me…. Shit like zombie land or something! Hahaha.”
He later added, “They’re paying to influence all of you now … it’s almost like ‘waking up’ mind control.”
In January 2020, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people who died in a helicopter crash in California. The NBA superstar was 41 years old.
Kobe is survived by Vanessa and her daughters Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1.
