Americans will have to wear a mask when using any form of public transportation – including buses, trains, taxis, planes, boats, subways or rideshare vehicles – from late Monday night to Kovid-19, slowing the spread of American Centers for Disease Control and containment is announced.
This order will come into force on Monday at 11:59 pm.
Director of CDC’s Division of Global Migration and Quarantine, Drs. The order signed by Martin Ketron states that people must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while on public transport and while waiting for their ride. The mask needs to feature at least two layers of breathable fabric and secure it to the head with ties, ear loops or elastic bands.
The mask needs to be fitted slowly and should not have breathing valves or punctures. If someone prefers to wear a gator, it should be made with two layers of fabric or bend two layers. Face shields and goggles can complement the mask, but cannot be worn in place of the mask. Scarves and bandanas do not meet the new requirement.
Children under the age of 2 or people with a disability who cannot wear masks are exempt.
In an order announced late Friday, the CDC said it had the authority to enforce it through criminal penalties, but that it “broadly encourages and anticipates voluntary compliance” and expects support from other federal agencies Does.
The order will remain in effect until further notice.
The move comes after US President Joe Biden signed an executive order on 21 January that mandated interstate travelers wear masks. On his first day in office, Biden challenged Americans to wear a mask for 100 days to reduce the spread of coronovirus.
