US captures key militant in Benghazi assault



American particular operations forces captured a militant Sunday who was allegedly concerned within the badault on a U.S. diplomatic compound and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, two US officers confirmed to Fox Information.

The badault resulted within the demise of the American ambbadador and three different Individuals.

The White Home is predicted to launch extra particulars shortly.

The officers say U.S. commandos captured the unidentified man in Libya and are transporting him again to the U.S. The officers say the mission was accepted by PresidentTrump and carried out in coordination with Libya’s internationally acknowledged authorities.

The Related Press first reported the seize.

The September 11, 2012 badault killed Ambbadador Chris Stevens and three different Individuals: Sean Smith, an info administration officer with the U.S. International Service, and two former Navy SEALs, Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods.

Earlier this month, the trial of Ahmed Abu Khattala started, the alleged mastermind of the 2012 badaults.  It’s not clear if the suspect detailed by US particular operations forces is considered one of Khattala’s lieutenants. 

Khatallah had been awaiting path since 2014, when US Military commandos and FBI brokers captured him in Benghazi and put him on a Navy ship for detention in an American jail inside the US.
