Although the odds of the striker being shortened recently, the guru revealed that he is currently unhappy with the contract on the table.
"Gonzalo Higuaín does not go crazy with the formula and modalities of transfer, which would grant a loan with a right of redemption," the Italian wrote on his website GianlucaDiMarzio .com.
"At the moment, Leonardo is working to make him understand that this is only a formal matter (pay a sum for the loan between 18 and 20 m, Milan should exchange it for the planned 36 million).
"The Argentine would also like to win more than the 7.5 million pounds he takes to Juventus to accept the transfer to a team that does not play in the Champions League.
"Milan is trying to convince him to accept a longer contract (four years compared to the three that Juventus still has), but proposing a lower salary."
Higuain's concerns about the agreement being a loan movement and its current wage demands means the two clubs have not yet reached an agreement.
Sarri has only brought two players since his arrival in West London earlier this month.
