Tyson Foods issues the withdrawal of panko chicken nuggets

WASHINGTON (KCRG) – Tyson Foods, Inc. is recalling about 36,420 pounds of frozen chicken nugget products, the United States Department of Agriculture announced on Tuesday.

The product is a five-pound package of Tyson White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets, with a "Best if Used" value until November 26, 2019. It was shipped to retailers across the country.

The product was removed after complaints of foreign material in chicken nuggets, specifically rubber contamination. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

If you are concerned about injuries or illnesses caused by ingesting the product, contact a health care provider.

Consumers with questions can contact Tyson Consumer Relations at 1-888-747-7611.
