Two LA County Sheriff depots were shot in Compton, seriously injured

The two were fighting for their lives after being shot Saturday evening at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Depot Compton, which officials described as a “bush”.

The Sheriff Department reported that the shooting occurred at 275 Willowbrook Avenue near the Blue Line station at about 7 p.m.

“A male deputy and a female deputy were ambushed as they boarded their patrol vehicle. Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition. They are both currently undergoing surgery, ”the department said in a statement.

Law enforcement sources said the Times had shot at least one depot in the face and another in the head when a gunman approached their car.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva is in hospital, where deputies are being treated.

No further details were immediately available, and this detective’s ambiguity has led to the identification of a suspect.

Both depots were members of the Sheriff’s transportation details.
