COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – The Colorado Springs Fire Department says crews responded to two fires within 24 hours of each other, both started by fireworks.

Firefighters remind people that fireworks are illegal in Colorado Springs and in the unincorporated county of El Paso.

Crews says a shed was completely destroyed on Friday night after a fire started with fireworks. The power lines were also damaged overhead due to the heat from the fire.

Another fire occurred when someone activated fireworks inside a vehicle, according to CSFD.
