Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago complex has been partially closed due to a coronavirus outbreak.
Both the beach club and the a la carte dining room were closed on Friday after several employees caught the deadly virus. The Palm Beach Club Banquet Hall and other event services remain open for now.
“As a precaution, we quarantined some of the workers and partially closed a section of the club for a short period of time,” a person familiar with the operation of the club told The Post, confirming the outbreak.
Trump has been living in Mar-a-Lago since he left the White House in January. His wife Melania Trump and their son Barron are there with him. All three have already recovered from coronavirus infections last year.
Members were informed of the outbreak in an email, which was obtained by the local Palm Beach Post.
“We have already taken all appropriate response measures in accordance with CDC guidelines, including triggering a thorough disinfection and cleaning of affected areas and all club facilities, and we will continue our intensified environmental cleaning regimen,” the message said.
