“I don’t know too much about it, I read something about it this morning,” Trump told reporters at a White House press conference on Monday.
The president called DeJoy a “very respected man”, but when asked if he supported the investigation into the allegations, he said “definitely.”
“I think he’s a very honest man, but we’ll see,” the president said.
Asked whether Dejoy had to lose his job if he was found to be running the campaign finance law, Trump responded “Yes, if anything can prove that they did something wrong, always.”

The Washington Post reported Sunday that during his tenure as CEO of New Breed Logistics, a North Carolina-based company, Dejoy strongly encouraged employees to contribute to Republican candidates and compensated them for doing so.
