‘To every Facebook and Twitter employee, user and advocate who fought for it – the whole world thanks you!’ Cohen continued.

Trump supporters decided to ban social media giants from their platforms with their encouragement after attacking the US Capitol on Wednesday.

Facebook suspended their accounts at least until the end of their presidency and was permanently banned from Twitter.

Earlier on Friday, before Twitter was banned, Cohen posted an indecent tweet urging the company to do so.

‘5 people died due to Trump’s electoral lies – lies helped you spread! How many more people have to die before Trump is banned from Twitter?!? Today, civil rights groups are calling you to do the right thing! ‘He insisted.

When Facebook suspended Trump on Wednesday, Cohen said: ‘Finaly – Facebook has suspended Trump for “indefinitely”! The dam is breaking. ‘

He said: ‘Every social media company, every online platform, every advertiser has a choice: stand with Trump and domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol or stood for democracy. #BanTrumpSaveDemocracy ‘.

Cohen famously lectured at an anti-defamation league event in late 2019, arguing for more restrictions on permissible statements on social media.

He said, “This hatred and violence is a handful of Internet companies, which amount to the biggest propaganda machine in history.”

Late last year he released a Borat sequel that went viral for an embarrassing moment involving Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani.

‘Borut’s’ daughter Tutar’ played by Maria Bakalova was interviewing Giuliani for a segment – one that she assumed was an actual interview – in a hotel.

During that sequence he can be seen lying back on the bed and adjusting his mic as a ‘tutcher’ while keeping his hand down – he says, as he was fixing his shirt.

‘The Borat video is a complete production. Giuliani said tauntingly on Twitter, “I was hitting my shirt after taking off the recording equipment.”

In several recent interviews, Cohen shared that he was hoping that his film would persuade people to vote against Trump in the 2020 election.

He said that I do not want to say arrogantly that people would look at Borat and not vote for Trump, but that was the purpose.
