After more than 16 years in the neighborhood, Tinseltown businessman and TV personality Tracy Edmonds has publicly slapped $ 10 million on his grand mansion in the guard-gated Mulhollo Estates community. The listing, which makes no secret of the home’s celebrity ownership, indicates a generously embellished 1990s French chateau-style home with more than 8,200 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and six baths.
There is also a notable celebrity pedigree game. John Fogretti of Creed’s Clearwater Revival fame bought the broadcasting way back in 2000 for $ 3.5 million, selling it in 2004 by Tracy and her record producer, then-husband Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, for $ 5.15 million. The couple left Babyface the following year and Tracy retained the property’s ownership.
Separated from the private road by a special ornate iron gate and a motorboat, the house sits in a room half an acre and offers a pale, stone-covered façade that neatly connects with its gray-shingled roof. Beyond the double front door, there is a grand foyer with a curved staircase and a Louis XIV-style chandelier from the roof. Across the structure can be found recovered lights, hardwood floors, dramatic arched doorways and a distinctive Rococo interior decoration.
On the main floor, the living room is configured around a chimney designed by Regal Mantle. Just further apart is the dining room, featuring two pendant chandeliers and a series of windows that look out into the picturesque backyard. There is also a spacious kitchen decked out with top-of-the-line appliances, a sophisticated alkaline water filtration system, and custom marble countertops. But for a more intellectual search, for a wood-paneled library where the ivory-colored carpet adds to its cozy atmosphere.
Upstairs, the master suite is anachronistically hedonistic. The bedroom has a separate seating area with a two-sided chimney, direct access to a private courtyard, and a spa-style bathroom with marble tubs and dual vanities. The master overlooks the backyard, played by a huge hedgerow for maximum privacy, but still has game-birds views of the basin of the San Fernando Valley. It has an oversized pool and spa, a built-in BBQ grill, covered al fresco dining area and firepit.
Mulholland Estate, a gated enclave of luxury mansions towering in the mountains above Sherman Oaks, has long been known for its popularity with Hollywood types. Current famous residents include but are not limited to DJ Khalid, Big Sean, Kendall Jenner, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, The Beach Boys Brian Wilson and Vanna White.
The listing is conducted by Micah Rabinue of Nurmond & Associates.
