Tiger Woods is ‘upset’ because he misses Masters, says Justin Thomas

Justin Thomas admitted that he missed Tiger Woods’ presence at the Masters as he seeks to win his first green jacket.

Woods is not at the Masters this week due to serious injuries he sustained in a car accident in February. He had had hopes of being able to play through a back injury, but the accident made his chances of playing this year very slim.

Thomas was honest about Woods not being at Augusta National.

“He’ll play the practice rounds for sure with him,” Thomas said of what he missed the most about Woods being there, via Reuters. “I went and saw it a couple of times last week and I tried to go a couple of times during the week when I’m home and see it.”

“We texted him Friday morning, and he said he was starting to get started. He’s upset that he’s not here playing practice rounds with us, and we hate him too.”

Thomas said he has volunteered to help Woods in every way possible, whether it’s taking care of his kids or just going to a fast food race.

Thomas hopes for a Masters victory this time. He finished fourth in the tournament last year. The event took place in November as the coronavirus pandemic was altering the calendar.
