Ticketfly concert marking service reports data breach

Associated Press

PROVIDENCE, RI-Concert-ticketing service Ticketfly worked on Sunday to put its system back online after a data leak that filtered users' personal information and altered services in live music venues.

The stolen information included customer names, addresses, emails and phone numbers, said the San Francisco parent company, Eventbrite.

Has not revealed other details, but a website that tracks data breaches said that hacking affected more than 26 million user accounts.

Troy Hunt,

Who runs the website "Have I been promoted?", said the trick was not as harmful as other infractions because the pbadwords were not stolen.

The breach left nightclubs and other venues from Seattle to Providence, Rhode Island, fighting for alternatives to sell tickets for upcoming shows.

Eventbrite bought rival Ticketfly for $ 200 million last year from the Pandora music service.
