This is the first wireless charging case for AirPods

You've probably heard the rumors about second-generation AirPods. We have too. Apple is supposed to launch them "sometime in 2019" and will be sweat proof, which current AirPods are not. The housing will have LED lights to indicate the duration of the battery. The case will also support wireless charging, so you can back up with the same wireless charging platform you use with your next-generation iPhone X, iPhone XS or iPhone XR. And, finally, they will be more expensive than the current AirPods, which will probably be located in the price range of $ 180 to $ 200.

You're also likely to know that Apple has yet to deliver its AirPower wireless charging platform, which it announced more than a year ago. We still do not have an ETA in that. The point is that, if you are waiting for the second-generation AirPods to arrive, you may have to wait longer than you think.

Still, if you're desperate to have AirPods that can be charged wirelessly, you're in luck. Amazon is currently selling the NeotrixQI AirPods wireless charger case, which, as far as I can tell, is the first AirPod case that supports wireless charging. It costs $ 37 and, of course, does not include AirPods.

However, before you get too excited, you should know that we have not tested this third-party load case and that buyers should be a bit cautious. Some of Amazon's early reviews are positive, but others point to things like "a cheap hinge mechanism" and the case supposedly "heats up" if you leave it on the loading platform for too long. It should be noted that the case still has a Lightning port if you want to go through the old badog load path.

Personally, I would treat this accessory with a great deal of skepticism. Most likely, he will buy it and probably feel disappointed. The charging case that comes with the AirPods, although it can not be charged wirelessly, is still very good.
