The exclusive video obtained by The Post shows the moment just before a female employee for Govind. Andrew Cuomo was beheaded in Manhattan in broad daylight in Manhattan.
Chilling footage shows the first man sneaking up behind 51-year-old employee Lisa Cavanuagh as he was walking at Third Avenue near East 48th Street on Christmas Eve at 2:15 in the afternoon.
At one point, the suspect, identified by police as 28-year-old Christopher Guzman, captures Cavanugh and nearly walks by his side for a second while carrying a large cinder block.
The attacker falls behind Cavanugh before suddenly lifting a piece of concrete over his head and suddenly runs towards the blue, hitting him in the head and temporarily killing him.
A Cuomo employee who helped with recruitment and appointments for the governor’s office needed sutures to close a 2-inch deep wound on his head. Sources said that he suffered fatal injuries.
Guzman – who tells police he lives in a homeless shelter on West 35th Street in Manhattan – has since been arrested and charged with second-degree assault in a horrific attack.
Cavanuagh is believed to have left the house at the time of the attack, which occurred in front of a construction project. Cuomo’s Manhattan office is about six blocks from the scene.
