The state of Wisconsin, La Crosse County reports high cases of COVID-19

Madison, Wis. This brings the state to a total of 89,185. A new death was reported to cause 1,210 deaths.

In Sunday’s report, 23 more are hospitalized for COVID-19. In total, 6,332 people in the state have been hospitalized due to COVID-19.

There were a total of 6,153 negative tests in the state. According to DHS, 87% of the virus-affected people in the state have recovered.

La Crosse County is breaking its record again on Sunday for the most cases filed in a day with 129 new cases. This brought the total number of counties to 1,754. On Sunday, UW-La Crosse announced extensive asylum on the campus due to the increasing number of cases in the county. Since September 8, the university received 51 new cases on Sunday, for a total of 275 cases.

In Eau Claire County, DHS is reporting an increase of 61 new positive COVID-19 cases bringing the county to a total of 1,2,000 positive cases. Zero new deaths were reported, totaling six. UW-Eau Claire is not registering any new cases on Sunday. A total of 184 cases of COVID-19 in Eau Claire County have been linked to UW-Eau Claire.

Doon County is reporting 12 new cases on Sunday, for a total of 249 in the county.

Chippewa County on Sunday reported nine new cases out of the county’s total of 418.
