An Oregon nurse has been placed on administrative leave, as she adapted a TicTalk video into basic COVID-19 measures.
A post deleted since user @ Loveiskind05 showed the nurse with the hostess and a nurse wearing a stethoscope stating, “When my co-workers find out I still travel, don’t wear masks when I’m out and give my children Give play dates. “A” duet “of the original Tiktok goes online.
Users clearly identified the nurse and then alerted her employer, Salem Health.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the hospital thanked community members for reaching out and announced that they had been “kept pending an administrative investigation.”
Salem Health did not reveal his name.
“Yesterday, a nurse employed with Salem Health posted a video on social media that showed her severe disregard for the severity of the epidemic and her indifference to physical disturbances and masking outside of work.”
“Salem Health believes that we all need to do our part to protect vulnerable people and prevent the rapid spread of COVID-19. This requires staff, patients, and visitors to follow guidance from the CDC and involve others about wearing masks and social distance. The COVID epidemic is severe and requires a severe response. And at Salem Health we are very serious about our approach to COVID. “
While many commentators praised the hospital for disciplining the nurse, others blasted him for not firing on the spot.
“There should be no investigation. Fire him and take away any of his licenses. She does not deserve to be a nurse if she is going to do all that is at risk for some of the most immune-less people, ”one Facebook user wrote.
Making another sarcastic comment, “She takes a vacation so that she can travel some more and put patients at even greater risk when she returns”
