The investigation was launched after bags of mail dumped at 2 locations in the LA area

According to a CBS Los Angeles report, the investigation was on after monitoring bags of mail being dumped in the parking lot of a Glendale spa. The video, taken outside the 7Q saloon, shows a budget box truck supported in the parking lot. Moments later, bag after bag was thrown into the back of the truck and onto the ground.

Salon co-owner Lilia Serobian found the bag on Thursday and made a cell phone video after she realized they were filled with hundreds of unopened envelopes and packages from the US Postal Service.

“It was completely unusual,” the Serbian said. “Basically, they have to leave all the unexpected packages somewhere if they are taking them for their personal use.”

Serobian said the incident made him uncomfortable Recent dispute over postal service.

“Of course, it’s suspicious,” he said. “You start thinking, ‘Well, something is going on, because nobody has access to all those boxes and packages.”

Glendale police said that just before the bag of mail was discovered in the parking lot of the saloon, they were told about several bags of mail thrown into an alleyway about half a mile from the spa. If the same truck was involved in both incidents, it was not immediately clear.

A spokesperson for the Postal Service said the agency did not comment on the ongoing investigation, but CBS LA was sent to the postal worker to collect postage.
