The DOH reported 931 new cases, 14 more deaths statewide; 184 new cases registered in center company

The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday confirmed an additional 6731 coronovirus cases in the state totaling 141,290 in the state in all 67 countries.
Eighty-two percent of the state’s total cases are considered recovered.
According to the Department of Health, there are now 3,082 confirmed and 6 total deaths in the 6 news viewing area.
Two hundred and four new cases were reported in our field of view: the Center reported 184 additional cases, Bedford and Blair each reported 6, Cumbria reported 5 and Somerset reported 3.
Bedford also reported an additional death and Huntingdon County reported one fewer case.
State health officials reported 14 new coronovirus-related deaths in which Pennsylvania had 7,805 deaths.
Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said, “Now-in-place efforts are necessary to provide long-term care to our children at school and to our loved ones as well as to save our most vulnerable areas.” “Wearing masks, practicing social disturbances, and following the prescribed requirements for bars and restaurants, gatherings and telework will help keep our case down. We know that cases occurring in facilities such as schools and nursing homes are often a reflection of the spread of the virus in the local community. Together, as expelivians, we each have a part to play to work to keep the cases of COVID-19 down. ”
According to the Department of Health, 1,625,640 patients have tested negative for the virus.
The number of tests conducted within the last 7 days between September 2 and September 8 is 145,946 with 5,564 positive cases. Through September 10, September 8, 18,127 exam results were reported to the department. These results represent the total number of tests administered.

As far as our neighboring counties go: Indiana County is reporting 479 cases with 11 deaths, and Westmoreland County is reporting 1,914 cases and 49 deaths.
The Health Department says that wearing masks is now mandatory in all public places, and anyone who visits these states will need to quarantine.
