The production of James Bond 25 has suffered another filming accident. Not long after actor Daniel Craig in 007 injured his ankle and needed surgery, the producers have now confirmed that a controlled explosion went awry, with a crew member injured.

There were no injuries on the set at Pinewood Studios when the accident occurred on June 4, but one person offstage suffered a "minor injury." No other details were provided.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, part of the stage was blown up during the filming of a trick involving a fireball inside a laboratory.

Presumably it will take an extra time to repair the scene at Pinewood Studios, although it is not known if this last setback will cause a delay for Bond 25. Craig needed approximately two weeks of downtime to recover from his own ankle injury and sustained surgery during filming in jamaica Despite that, the production team said at that time that the film will not be delayed.

James Bond 25, or whatever his name is, will hit theaters in April 2020. In addition to Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Lea Seydoux will once again play their roles for the 25th James Bond movie. Jeffrey Wright and Ben Whishaw also return, while Rami Malek has joined the film as the villain.

The story of Bond 25 begins when Bond is no longer on active duty, but has fun in Jamaica. "His peace is ephemeral when his old friend Felix Leiter of the CIA appears asking for help," reads a line in the description. "The mission of rescuing a kidnapped scientist turns out to be much more treacherous than expected, which leads Bond to the trail of a mysterious villain armed with a dangerous new technology."

The film was going to be directed initially by Danny Boyle, but it was due to "creative differences". Cary Fukunaga of True Detective replaced Boyle before the film was delayed first from October 2019 to February 2020 and then again until April 3, 2020.
