The Columbus Blue Jackets complied with everything in the trade deadline, loading with exchanges and keeping two players with expired contracts, forward Artemi Panarin and goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky, despite your intentions to sign elsewhere this summer. It was a big bet for Columbus, and until Friday night we still were not sure it would be worth it.
With a triumph shot over the New York Rangers, the Columbus Blue Jackets are blocked for the playoffs. But, you, look how close they were to blow it.
Leading 2-1 in the last minute of regulation, the Blue Jackets almost ruined it when the Rangers advanced. Pavel Buchnevich "Beat" Bobrovsky. Actually, the Buchnevich just pbaded the disk to the slot, and Bob's own pad was diverted to the net. Hence the posture in the photo above.
Meanwhile, Buchnevich was euphoric.

That second clbadification point finally won the Jackets a X Next to his name in the clbadification.

Meanwhile, Montreal Canadians have finally been eliminated.
We will still need more time before finding out who will play the Caps in the first round. For the final games of the season, Columbus plays with Ottawa, Carolina plays with Philadelphia, Washington plays with the islanders and Pittsburgh plays with New York as it should.
