WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A 700,000-square-foot robotic fulfillment center is building at Amazon, which will create 1,000 new jobs, pay a minimum of $ 15 an hour and include a wider budget and 20 weeks of maternal and paternal care . Paid leave, company officials said on Friday.

The center, which is under construction on a site of more than 90 acres at 2000 Exchange Parkway west of Beckler Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center, is scheduled to open next year.
“The facility is the latest milestone in a strong partnership between Amazon and Texas, and I look forward to seeing what the facility will bring to the Waco community,” said Greg Abbott, who was in Waco for the government’s official announcement on Friday he said.
The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the Waco-McLennan County Economic Development Corp. and the Waco Industrial Foundation teamed up to attract Amazon.
