The cats reject the red hot Auburn in the second half to win 82-80

AUBURN, Al-Kentucky used a 19-2 run to break away from the Tigers, but Bryce Brown's hot hand led a furious comeback that fell short in Kentucky's 82-80 victory.

Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro led Kentucky with 20 points apiece, while Bryce Brown caught fire for Auburn and led the Tigers with 28.

Kentucky led by two points with 30 seconds left when Jared Harper drained a triple to give Auburn his first lead of the entire second half.

Tyler Herro then drove to the bucket, but was manually checked on the road. As a result of being on the bonus, Herro sank both free throws for Kentucky.

Harper then headed to the basket for Auburn and his shot rolled off the edge. The last second of Auburn's desperation did not hit the basket and the Cats survived.

Kentucky shot an impressive 54% from the floor, but the Tigers were able to retire with eight triples in the second half. They were 13-30 of three in the game.

Kentucky improves to 14-3 (4-1).
