LONDON – The Labor Party of Great Britain says that it suspended a legislator for an accusation of inappropriate badual behavior. The opposition party said on Thursday that Ivan Lewis is suspended pending an investigation. It says "the Labor Party takes all allegations of badual harbadment extremely seriously."
Earlier this month, BuzzFeed News reported that a woman claimed that Lewis had touched her leg and invited her to his home in 2010, when he was 19 years old. Lewis said later that "he never made badual comments that were not consensual or badual advances to women." But he apologized if his behavior had been "inappropriate or inappropriate."
Several British legislators have resigned or have been suspended from their jobs for badual harbadment or abuse claims. Prime Minister Theresa May has called for an end to "abuses of power" in politics.
