The Boston Bruins lost Game 5, 2-1, of their first-round playoff series to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night and must now return to Canada for Game 6, 3-2 in the series.
All those watching the game: the NHL goalkeepers, the badysts, the fans who have no interest in rooting, and the Bruins fans were not happy with a crucial non-call that did not go to Boston in the first goal of the Leafs in the game.
Zach Hyman of Toronto seemed to run into goalkeeper Tuukka Rask of the Bruins, who was in the center, and then Auston Matthews was able to score a goal. It seemed the interference of the textbook doorman.
The objective was reviewed and the advertisers in the transmission agreed that there should be interference from the doorman and they believed that the call would be reversed.
But it was not like that, since the NHL said there was not enough evidence to reverse the call.
Even though almost everyone disagreed with them.
Here is the goal:
Here is a true NHL goalie thought:
Again, the review of the interference of the NHL goalkeeper is flawed. Someone who has played the game in blue paint should be in the situation room. The games are being lost in the playoffs and it's not good. #inconsistent https://t.co/1DmPfnZC9K

Don Cherry did not seem to believe it.
The NHL fans could not believe it:
Hyman goes 100% on his own and hits the goalkeeper a second before the goal. If I had to teach someone what the doorman's interference was, I would probably show them this textbook. As usual. Best sport The worst league. #NHL https://t.co/znqKZ64eQp

That could have been the worst decision I've seen in an NHL playoff game in a long time. The absolute interference of the goalkeeper by Hyman and the league lets it go. @NHL You should be ashamed that BS biased. #TORvsBOS pic.twitter.com/msbGn44Vil

And the fans of the Boston Bruins were furious about this:
Sad to say, believing more than sports are fixed. Too much money involved these days and the leagues protect bookmakers and television offers to guarantee the best paydays. Very sad.#NHLPlayoffs#NHLBruins # Stanley Cup @NHL @MLB @NBA @NFL @MLS

How did Matthew's goal stand? I have an idea. They send all the comments to Toronto … #NHLBruins in 7

It was not a good night for the referees, although the Leafs beat the Bruins for most of the night.
