HOUSTON – An ATM in the Houston area has been closed and guarded by law enforcement officials after wrongly handing $ 100 bills instead of $ 10, and the news of the social media failure.
Some Harris County sheriff's deputies protected the outdoor ATM after the Sunday night incident and notified Bank of America.
A bank statement on Monday said a provider incorrectly charged $ 100 bills instead of $ 10 bills. Bank of America also said that customers can keep the extra money dispensed.
Officials at Bank of America, based in North Carolina, did not say how much money was wrongly dispensed.
