The arrest warrant was issued in a strange fight between two former Eagles

An arrest warrant has been issued for a bizarre incident involving two former Eagles players.

This is a stranger.

Lito Sheppard is a former Eagles corner who had many memorable plays in Philadelphia. The other guy involved is Jabar Gaffney, who never played a regular-season game in Philadelphia and whose performance in the city is most memorable for an incident on the Walt Whitman bridge that involves an illegal gun.

The two grew up in Jacksonville, attended the same high school, and both played soccer at the University of Florida. You'd think that would make them good friends. It is not like this.

Apparently they have some kind of long-standing dispute that stems from accusations that Sheppard has an affair with Gaffney's wife, according to WJXT. Sheppard denies that it is true. That brings us to the June incident that led to the arrest warrant. From WJXT in Jacksonville:

An order was issued for the arrest of former NFL player Jabar Gaffney, who is charged with a felony in the vandalism of his former teammate's BMW, the I-TEAM learned on Thursday.

Someone cut off the tires of Lito Sheppard's BMW and poured a contaminant into the gas tank while the car was parked outside a Jacksonville Beach restaurant on June 17, causing $ 14,000 in damages.

There are video footage of the incident, which Gaffney has denied, but there is apparently enough to convince the police otherwise.

You can watch the video of the incident in the local news images below.

Philly, there's another deck athlete in the city.

Two weeks ago, news came out that Joel Embiid would be on the cover of NBA Live 19, which means it's the first Sixer to appear on the cover of that video. series of games. On Thursday, we discovered that Ben Simmons will be on the cover of NBA 2K19, in copies sold in Australia and New Zealand. This is the first specific Australian version of NBA 2K.

The cover is pretty silly, and joins Allen Iverson as the only Sixer to be the cover of NBA 2K.

"It is a great honor to be recognized on the first Australian cover for NBA 2K and to represent the 76ers," Simmons told Basketball Australia.

"Australian fans are super passionate about basketball and specifically NBA 2K, so it's great to be an ambassador of both …"

The cover, similar to those made for Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James this year, highlights words and praise of the short but successful career of Simmons.

With Embiid and Simmons on the videogame covers this year, it shows the global brand that these two young stars are building and, having played only one season together, their star power will only grow as they achieve more on the court .

Copies are available September 11, but you may have a friend pick up a copy or buy one from the Internet to access this special edition.
