Texas man accused of killing Fort Hood soldier

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder about three months after the autopsy of the US Army Pfc. Brandon Rosecrans of Fort Hood was found by the roadside in Hacker Heights, Texas.

Harker Heights Police said an arrest warrant was issued against Brandon Michael Olivares on Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of a 27-year-old soldier.

Olivares was already in custody at the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges. Jail records indicate Olivares was first arrested in June and charged with a third-degree felony charge of a firearms and a parole violation.

Olivares’s bail is $ 1 million.

No details about the possible motive have been released.

“The arrest gave us even more questions,” according to Statesman, Rosscrans’ father Thomas Berg. “We know there are other warrants that will follow.”

There have been at least seven suspected deaths of soldiers stationed at Fort Hood in the last five months and one of Roscerans’ deaths in disappearances.

In March, the body of 20-year-old Shelby Tyler Jones was found in South Killeen near Fort Hood following a gunshot wound.

A month later, Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen disappeared, and it took officers three months to find her body in July. Her alleged killer, who confessed to the murder, and authorities believe Gülen, Spike, was sexually assaulted. Aaron Robinson committed suicide shortly after.

Another soldier, 24-year-old Gregory Scott Morales, was found dead in June at a farm in Killeen, about 10 months after his disappearance. Fort Hood officials said in a statement that they suspected dishonesty.

More recently, on Tuesday, the body of 24-year-old soldier Francisco Gilberto Hernandezvargas, based in Fort Hood, was exhumed from Stillhouse Hollow Lake after drowning. An investigation is underway.

The lake is the only place where there is another body, which 26-year-old Pvt. Mejor Morta, was found in July.

According to the Army Times, five of the eight deaths this year have been linked to public dishonesty.
