Big screen phones that approach a small tablet in size have their followers, and here in Sweden, it has been the Xiaomi Mi Max Series, which attracted the most. Xiaomi still does not have official distribution in Sweden but by third parties it has become easier to find Xiaomit phones in store and now Swedish language support is no problem. Mi Max 3 therefore becomes an interesting new phone that stands out in the crowd.
Most interesting, of course, is the large screen of 6.9 inches, with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (the sensor panel on the screen was probably rated as overcrowded on such a large phone). The phone is 176.2 x 87.4 x 8 mm, which is higher, narrower and a bit thicker than the forerunner Mi Max 2. The weight is 221g which is 10 grams more than the predecessor.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset, which according to our Asus Zenfone 5 experience provides a noticeable boost in performance in the mid-range segment, and compared to its predecessor. We can probably expect the camera to be noticeably better. Here are two 12 and 5 megapixel lenses, and the phone will receive artificial intelligence in an update.
In addition to the large screen, it's also the battery life that attracts the Mi Max series. Mi max 3 has got an additional slightly larger battery of 5500 mAh. Fast loading is of course extra important for such a large battery, and Xiaomi promises to be able to charge from empty to 71 percent battery in one hour.
So far, we only have Chinese prices on the phones, of course without VAT and import charges, but count on a price of between 3000 and 4000 kronor when the phone starts selling in Sweden. If you can get both the version with 4/64 and 6/128 GB of memory / storage, it is also necessary to see.
