Other Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character hope has been disconfirmed. Earlier this week, when a long-rumored and in-demand DLC character was apparently disconfirmed, it took Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite users by surprise. A few days later, another character has been more or less disconfirmed, although this one probably won’t surprise many given how new the character is.
Next to Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Eternal DOOM, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a couple more games, hell It was on the 2020 GOTY list of many, and rightly so. A big part of the game’s appeal is its characters and its story. And at the center of the latter is Zagreus, the protagonist of the game. That said, while it’s pretty easy to imagine a future where Zagreus finds himself in a four-way battle for his life against Kirby, Falco, and Steve, it doesn’t seem like it will happen in time for Super smash Bros. Ultimate.
When asked if he would be willing to see Zagreus added, writer and designer Greg Kasavin was unsurprisingly up to do the crossover. That said, at the same time it always doubts that it will happen, at least in the short term.
“On a personal level, I think it would be amazing,” Kasavin said. “Smash it does a great job adapting characters so faithfully, sometimes even more faithfully from the games those characters come from. I’m a huge fan of NEO-GEO fighting games and they brought in Terry Bogard … so yeah, I think they’d do an amazing job, but it’s one of those things as I’m sure they have a very long list. ! “
As you can see, Kasavin does not flatly confirm that we will not see the hell the character comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but he strongly implies it. And as mentioned, this makes sense given that hell just released last year. Also, while the game was award-winning and popular, the character itself is far from iconic or on the level of others waiting to be added.
