A series of cold fronts will move from the Pacific through the central Rockies this weekend.
The accelerated flow of fronts that run through the region tends to favor mountains with snow, but leaves Denver and the eastern plains with gusty winds, cooler temperatures and a little moisture.
A Blizzard Warning is valid for the eastern plains from 11 p.m. Saturday through Sunday morning for 1 to 4 inches of snow along with strong winds.
A strong wind warning is valid for most of eastern Colorado (including Denver) until 6 a.m. Sunday. Maximum winds will remain at 35-45 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph. Fallen trees, power lines and property damage are a possibility.
