State begins immunization registration for Vermont residents with health problems


BURLINGTON, Vermont (WCAX) – Beginning Monday morning, the next phase of vaccine implementation begins in Vermont.

Teachers and people 55 and older with underlying health problems can now sign up for the vaccine.

The state is now opening immunization appointments for public and private school teachers and staff, additional public safety employees, correctional personnel, 911 operators, police lieutenants, and Vermonters 55 and older with underlying health conditions.

Teachers should wait for more information from their school district to sign up.

Educators’ spouses and families are not eligible.

Starting at 8:15 am, you will be able to click here to register for your vaccination.

Click here to see which health conditions qualify according to the state criteria.

Next week, people ages 16 to 54 with underlying conditions will be able to schedule an appointment.
