  • The location is 30,000 square feet and serves gourmet beverages with nitrogen content and foods cooked in the house.
  • The Roastery is a window into the future of Starbucks as the coffee chain tries to reinforce its premium image.

Starbucks has opened an impressive location in China that is 300 times larger than the average coffee shop.

On Tuesday, Starbucks opened the 30,000-square-foot Starbucks Reserve Roastery Shanghai. The location has gourmet drinks, such as infusions with nitrogen infusion, and an 88-foot-long craft coffee bar.

So far, the only open Roastery of Starbucks was in Seattle, Washington. The success of the Seattle Roastery, which opened in late 2014, demonstrated to Starbucks the potential for more exclusive locations and provided a model for the other Roasteries in the works around the world.

This is what it feels like to visit the Roastery of Shanghai, the most exaggerated Starbucks in the world.
