"I think about it all the time," Raimi said. "It's hard not to do it, because every summer another Spider-Man movie comes out! Then, when you have an unborn baby, you can not help thinking what could have been, but I try to focus on what will be and not look at the past "
Since leaving the Spider-Man franchise after Spider-Man 3, Raimi has spoken publicly about his planned film for Spider-Man 4. There was talk of presenting Vulture as the main villain of the film and Maguire was scheduled to repeat the role of Peter Parker.
However, Raimi and Sony split up before Spider-man 4 started production and Sony restarted the Spider-Man franchise twice later. Once with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in the films of The Amazing Spider-Man, and again with Tom Holland in the current co-production with Marvel Studios. Holland Spider-Man's latest vehicle, Spider-Man: Far from Home, is currently the fifth highest-grossing movie of 2019.
While many agree that the Holland Spider-Man movies have been great, there is a dedicated community of fans who love Raimi in the Marvel superhero. So much so that a recent teaser for a new line of comics by Spider-Man caused a great deal of anticipation when it was initially believed to be an adaptation of the Raimi Spider-Man movie, which had not been produced. Was not.

Raimi has since returned to his film genre roots. He served as an executive producer on the big-crawling movie Crawl, which we think is pretty funny.
