Yesterday we requested for those who thought AJ Styles would defeat Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and the response was nearly unanimously, “no.” The prevailing thought was Brock Lesnar has already defeated so many prime stars, it would not make a lot sense to have Styles beat him at this level, particularly with Lesnar (more than likely) headed in the direction of a match towards Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34. There have been some responses that thought we may see a DQ end, because of Jinder Mahal getting concerned. Above all, you simply needed to see an honest match and hopefully not a 5 minute squash match.
Thanks to everybody who responded, listed below are among the prime feedback:
“There will be no clean win. I expect a DQ, a count-out, a double count-out or one of them will be screwed one way or another.”
“On paper it seems very obvious that Styles will lose to Lesnar, but this time last year everyone thought Lesnar was going to squash Goldberg too. Barring a screwy finish, you never know what wild idea Vince and Co. might go with in order to shock the crowd.”
“There’s literally nothing to discuss – Mahal and company will distract AJ, who will eat an F5 and lose via pinfall.”
“Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Vince only went through with taking the title off Jinder so AJ would get destroyed, then have to defend and lose easily against Jinder next Tuesday?”
“I don’t care who wins I want Lesnar to actually try and give us 15-20 minutes.”
