PHILADELPHIA – Cornerback Sidney Jones (hamstring) of Eagles Nickel was ruled out on Friday for the team's Week 10 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. The defender of the initial slot missed the last two games due to the ailment suffered in Week 6 against the Giants.
With Jones on the shelf in recent weeks, Officer Dexter McDougle completed for the injured starter. McDougle struggled mightily during his time as the Eagles fill nickel cornerback. He was suspended Monday after the team added defensive back Cre & # 39; Von LeBlanc.
LeBlanc and many others are able to play the role of nickel cornerback, it's just a question of who will line up in the place. The Eagles have several options, even when Jones can not act.
Here are the choices of the Eagles at the nickel corner entering Week 10:
Cre & # 39; Von LeBlanc
LeBlanc is new, but it is also one of the few options with a lot of regular season playing experience at the nickel corner. LeBlanc, an on and off starter in the position in Chicago during his first two years in the league, has an idea of the job. While his circumstances are not ideal, he is still likely to perform better than McDougle with a short turn.
It seems the veteran defensive will return from his own thigh injury against the Cowboys. Graham has a lot of experience as a nickel cornerback and has moved through high school throughout his career. However, Graham had problems when he was transferred to free security a few weeks ago. Would the team put him in a similar situation this week?
