NEW YORK (AP) – Sears Holdings Corp. says it is going to be closing one other 63 shops because the ailing retailer tries to show round its enterprise.
The Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based firm, struggling to maintain up with its rivals, mentioned it’ll shutter 45 Kmart shops and 18 Sears shops in late January. No Memphis-area shops are on the closure record.
Liquidation gross sales will begin as early as subsequent Thursday.
The transfer comes along with the closing of about 250 shops already introduced this yr.
Meanwhile, Sears launched a “holiday blowout” sale at each chains that started Wednesday and can final till Nov. 25, a day after Black Friday.
Sears has been promoting off some its actual property and types because it tries to lift money.
