Score of Bucks vs. Game 5 Celtics: Milwaukee tops Boston, advances to the first Eastern finals since 2001

The Milwaukee Bucks advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

The Bucks will advance to their first conference final since 2001 after defeating the Boston Celtics, 116-91, in Game 5 of their second-round playoff series.

Although Game 5 was an elimination game for the Celtics, it was almost one-sided from the start, as Boston had a hard time shooting, making only 31.5 percent of their field goal attempts.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 20 points, eight rebounds and eight badists, while Kyrie Irving fought drastically, again, on 6 of 17 shots from the field while going 1-for-7 from the 3-point range by 15 points.

It will be a long offseason for the Celtics as they await the decision of Irving's free agency and determine which direction they should go to take the next step to become a candidate for the championship.

Meanwhile, the Bucks will wait for the winner of the Philadelphia 76ers-Toronto Raptors series with Game 6 of that series that will take place on Thursday night.
