The Big 12 softball tournament has been interrupted due to rain.
The third and fifth place games were canceled, the conference announced Saturday morning. Those games were originally scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Softball Hall of Fame Complex of the United States.
The Oklahoma game against Kansas is scheduled to tentatively resume at 2:30 p.m. The Sooners and the Jayhawks had to suspend the game Friday night in the fourth inning due to the rain. OU led 5-0.
If the Sooners cling to victory, No. 1 Oklahoma seeded and No. 2 Oklahoma State seeded are tentatively scheduled to play at 4 p.m. Saturday's championship game.
The field conditions in the complex will be reevaluated at 11 a.m. The Big 12 tournament games are played in auxiliary fields as construction in the main stadium is resumed.
